WEDA’s Government Affairs Services Program

The Wisconsin Economic Development Association offers a unique service to expanding businesses in Wisconsin in need of effective government affairs representation on state legislative and regulatory issues.

Growing Wisconsin businesses face numerous challenges. Those challenges often include statutory or regulatory barriers to expansion. Businesses facing these hurdles do not necessarily need long-term government affairs representation in Wisconsin, but often require a short-term advocacy effort on a single legislative or regulatory issue. Given WEDA’s experience and expertise on economic development policies and its role as an advocate for policies to enhance Wisconsin’s economy, WEDA staff is well positioned to help businesses meet their specific, short to medium-term government affairs goals.

WEDA will only provide government affairs services to a business if the company’s legislative or regulatory priorities align with WEDA’s legislative agenda. In addition, to qualify for services, a business must be referred by a WEDA member.
