Solar For All Director
Position Summary
The Solar for All Director will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of the Wisconsin Solar for All program. The director play a key role in advancing our mission to improve access to solar energy for low- and moderate-income households across the state as WEDC works to build an Economy for All.

Responsibilities
The Solar for All Director will spend a majority of their time in these activities:
- Manage program budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure successful project delivery within allocated resources.
- Collaborate with program administrator to identify opportunities for program expansion and improvement.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with community organizations, government agencies, and other stakeholders to support program goals and objectives.
- Monitor program performance and evaluate outcomes to measure effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain program documentation, reports, and other materials to support program monitoring and reporting requirements.
- Engage with team members with a high level of trust, commitment, and accountability toward our common goals.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to solar energy and clean energy initiatives.
- Represent the organization at meetings, events, and conferences to promote the Solar for All program and build strategic partnerships.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, environmental science, engineering, sustainable technology, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred, or equivalent education, experience, or training will also be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in economic development, clean energy policy, grant management, project management or a combination thereof.
- Experience with residential solar and solar financing.
- Relevant work experience developing and managing complex, multi-partner, and/or cross-sector programs.
Skills and Talents:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and project management skills.
- Interest or experience in clean energy, climate change, environmental justice, social impact work, sustainability, economic development, equity, and a willingness to learn.
- Proficiency with MS Office and project management platforms.

Other Requirements:
- State-wide travel will occur on an occasional basis, less than 20% of the time. Travel is anticipated to include day and overnight travel.
- Based on the responsibilities of this position, this position may need to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
