Fellow WEDA Members,
2025 continues to be an impactful, educational and fun-filled year for WEDA! As I write this, I reflect
on the tremendous energy and support surrounding WEDA’s 50th Anniversary Golf Outing and Dinner. The events brought together over 90 individuals from across the state for a day of camaraderie, networking, and fun. The outing was a shining example of the strong bonds and shared mission that unite Wisconsin’s economic development community.
We reflected on how far we’ve come over the last five decades, shared stories, and celebrated the progress we’ve made together in fostering economic growth and supporting Wisconsin’s businesses and communities. We reconnected with past colleagues and continue to warmly welcome many new friends and colleagues to WEDA. A heartfelt thank you goes out to all who participated, as well as the sponsors and organizers who made this event possible.
As we look ahead, we’re excited to continue building on this legacy at the upcoming Fall Best Practices Conference, scheduled for September 23-26 in Oshkosh. This annual gathering is more than just a conference—it’s a forum to share ideas, learn from one another, and find innovative ways to address the challenges and opportunities facing our state.
Your leadership, guidance, and unwavering commitment as economic development professionals are the cornerstones of Wisconsin’s success. Together, you provide the stability and vision that drive growth in our businesses and communities.
