Message from the WEDA Board Chair, Jenny Kuderer-Radcliffe

Fellow WEDA Members,

As we move into the final third of 2025, I’m proud to reflect on what, thus far, has been a successful and transformative year for WEDA and for economic development across Wisconsin. Together, we’ve celebrated significant project wins that will enhance our communities, create jobs, and continue to draw positive attention our state. However, we’ve also faced uncertainties in the broader economy and challenges in our individual communities that remind us of the importance of resilience, adaptability, and collaboration.

Looking ahead, WEDA’s Fall Best Practices Conference, “Driving Innovation, Navigating Challenges, and Soaring to Success: The Next 50 Years of Economic Development in Wisconsin”, is not to be missed. The team is busy putting together high-energy programming and wonderful networking opportunities throughout the conference. My favorite part of the Best Practices Conference is always the Community & Economic Development Awards that celebrate the best of creative and collaborative economic development across the state. And be sure to get out and enjoy the sites, tastes and sounds of beautiful Oshkosh in the fall!

There is much left to accomplish in 2025 as WEDA rounds out our 50th Anniversary Celebration. I look forward to seeing you in Oshkosh later this week! Let’s continue shaping Wisconsin’s economic future together.
