WEDA Announces Champion of Economic Development Legislative Award Winners
At the conclusion of each two-year legislative session, the Wisconsin Economic Development
Association (WEDA) recognizes state lawmakers who have demonstrated exceptional leadership in advancing policies that strengthen Wisconsin’s economy. The Champion of Economic Development Award honors legislators whose work has expanded the state’s economic development toolbox, including legislation to support local housing development, strengthen Wisconsin’s workforce, and drive community revitalization across the state.
For the 2025–26 legislative session, award recipients were selected based on their leadership in authoring or co-sponsoring key economic development legislation, their voting records on WEDA’s top legislative priorities, and their consistent support for policies that foster economic growth.
WEDA is pleased to recognize the following lawmakers as 2025–26 Champions of Economic Development:
State Assembly:
- Rep. Dave Armstrong (R–Rice Lake)
- Rep. Rob Kreibich (R–New Richmond)
- Rep. Lori Palmeri (D–Oshkosh)
- Rep. Will Penterman (R–Hustisford)
